Right before I left for maternity I asked you guys to submit some topics you’d like me to teach on. This one was certainly a theme that came up for several of you -----> Riding the Waves of Entrepreneurship. Whether you are in your first or tenth year of business you know exactly what I’m talking about. You could wake up one morning feeling down in the dumps about how your business is {NOT} going, to onboarding a new client + celebrating, to having a long term client decide not to re-sign your monthly retainer, and being back in the dumps! These are what I call “the waves”.

I like to call this blog post the Customer Service/Etiquette 101 post. As a mindset and confidence coach I get clients coming to me at times reporting burnout. Their business is THRIVING, but their customers or clients are pushing the limits, asking too much of them, requesting refunds, or THEY are even firing their clients. Now when did it have to come to this in our industry where service providers are firing their clients? I’m not saying it shouldn’t happen, but I truly believe there are ways to PREVENT this from needing to happen if you just follow these few pointers I am going to share with you today.

A few weeks back I published a blog post entitled How to Confidently Book {IDEAL} Clients. It ended up being a hit and I was a bit surprised from the feedback that I received.  It turns out that “sharing your services” rather than selling, was something that was foreign to many of the women in this space.  In the business world we are constantly told to “SELL SELL SELL. Go out there and GET your customers. Close the sale. Give them the pitch” and so on. What if we just shifted our mindset to rather than “selling”, but sharing the God given gifts we have with those who need them?

This week I’m really feeling called to talk on a particular scripture. I came across it during my maternity-leave, at a time I was having “a morning”. It was one of those weeks where baby AB was regressing into her early infant sleep patterns and I just wasn’t sure how I was going to keep up in my business having so little time to commit.

Power of Surrender

This week I want to discuss a Mindset topic with you…….the power of SURRENDER.  I think many of you know this has been a HUGE theme for me in 2017……..leaning back and surrendering at a level that feels super uncomfortable. Since day 1 of my pregnancy I knew baby Annabelle would be arriving early--something deep within told me to hold onto this and to plan accordingly. This whole story (with all the feels!) could be a book in itself, so I won’t get into that today LOL but just keep this in mind as I share!
