This week we had an awesome guest on the podcast, Emily Cassel who spoke about overcoming the fear of "someone else is already doing it". Today I want to briefly dive into this lie with you, as I know so many of us have felt this way at one point or another.

This week I am feeling called to talk about intentional living. I know, this is not something most business owners (think! they) have time for. I hope this insight will help you grasp the concept a little faster than I did.

This week we are talking a little bit of a controversial subject in the business world…...I am asking you to QUIT learning. To quit consuming and begin creating. It’s only natural in the business world to SELL right? We are plagued with a mindset of always needing to “learn more” and “consume more”. You’ve been told before, “it didn’t work because you just haven’t taken MY course before. Once you take MINE, your life and/or business will change”. I call BS. The problem these days is NOT that you haven’t learned enough, it’s that you most likely are consuming TOO MUCH and not taking the time to take what you learned to create what it is you want to create.

This week we are talking faith + mindset yet again! It's been one of those things I've felt STRONGLY on my heart this past year. Way LESS strategy, way MORE believing and doing ONLY what I feel on my heart. After hearing our lesson at church Sunday on Scarcity vs Abundance Mindset, it was a confirmation I speak on this today. So let's get started!

I want to share with you a little "secret" to my business success..... it's having strong ethics an integrity in my business. Now this is not an easy topic for some. But I have a feeling it is a bit easier for you heart centered ladies. Gratefully, I have witnessed some incredible examples of ethical businesses run with high integrity. The simple definition of Ethics = moral principles of right and wrong. And Integrity = what you do when no one is looking.

I promised you last week a reflection from Colour Conference 2018. Many of you have hear me talk about Colour in the past. It's a women's conference held each year by Hillsong Church. It's not a business conference per se, but a place to come and get filled up spiritually to be even better equipped to run your business and serve hearts.

I'd love this post to be a reflection of the past three years I attended. So let's dive into the first one, in 2016! 

Last week I published a blog post entitled How to Confidently Book {IDEAL} Clients. It ended up being a hit and I was a bit surprised from the feedback that I received.  It turns out that “sharing your services” rather than selling, was something that was foreign to many of the women in this space.  In the business world we are constantly told to “SELL SELL SELL. Go out there and GET your customers. Close the sale. Give them the pitch” and so on. What if we just shifted our mindset to rather than “selling”, but sharing the God given gifts we have with those who need them?
