On this episode of The Thinking Like a Boss Podcast, we are wrapping up the series “Kate’s Top 4 Mistakes in Business.” Throughout the series, Kate shares her reasoning around making these decisions, the repercussions, and her perspective now on the other side of them.

In this episode, Kate covers her fourth mistake - not fully owning and celebrating her success. She shares why she downplayed her success, the dangers of comparisonitis, and how you can avoid making the same mistake in your business!

Something we don’t discuss often is the importance of slow growth and the long term stability it can set you up with. Often we ONLY hear about the fast growth or overnight success and those of us with eyes on long term sustainability, can easily become derailed and feel as though our success is not enough. Pretty please, stop comparing yourself to other businesses, especially those focussed on overnight success, fast growth, scaling quickly, or all of the other catchy lingo, and just start focusing on what you’re building long term.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • Kate’s mistake of downplaying her success

  • The effects this mistake had on her mindset and how she presented herself

  • How you can avoid making this mistake in your business

Words of Wisdom:

-- Every new level we get to, there’s bound to be a new devil.

-- Comparisonitis can attack us at any place in our business

-- Slow growth is more important than the fast growth.

-- Focus on what you are building long term.
